From Pooh's Heffalump Movie To... Wanted 2?
It may sound a little ridiculous, but it's true... Evan Spiliotopoulos is going from co-writing Pooh's Heffalump Movie and a few straight-to-DVD Disney sequels to a plum job writing Wanted 2. Now that's a good agent. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spiliotopoulos has been hired to write the sequel to last summer's surprise hit from a story by Wanted co-writer Chris Morgan. Like the first, the film will be based on the Mark Millar comic series. And with a resume that's highlights include Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers, and The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning, you've got to figure Universal saw something in Spiliotopoulos to hand him over the reigns to their new franchise. Either that or their kids did...
