No offense to Jena Malone and Jamie Chung, but when you're replacing Evan Rachel Wood and Superbad's Emma Stone respectively, it's a pretty clear step down in terms of name recognition. Like it or not though, Watchmen director Zack Snyder's all-female action fantasy Sucker Punch! was forced to move on when Wood and Stone had to drop out of the project thanks to scheduling conflicts.
Chung and Malone join Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens and Abbie Cornish in the 1950s set Sucker Punch!, which "centers on a girl confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternate reality to hide from the pain and in that world begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out." Chung will play Amber, "a country girl with a big heart," while Saved's Malone will play Cornish's character's younger sister - both are fellow inmates. Jamie last appeared in Dragonball Evolution.
