Joseph Gordon-Levitt's star is on the rise - and after landing a spot in Christopher Nolan's next movie, it's showing no signs of slowing down. After headlining a romantic comedy for Fox Searchlight that was a big hit at Sundance and playing Cobra Commander in this summer's G.I. Joe, Gordon-Levitt is officially poised to become one of Hollywood's next big things.
Seemingly getting better with each movie, his career takes another step forward with a supporting role in Inception, the heavily-guarded new thriller from Christopher Nolan. In it he'll play "an associate" of Leonardo DiCaprio's CEO-type character. Joining a cast that also include Public Enemies' Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page, Gordon-Levitt will be replacing fellow up-and-coming actor James Franco, who had to drop out of the project over scheduling conflicts.
Shooting is scheduled to begin this summer with the goal of a 2010 release. By then I'm betting Joseph Gordon-Levitt won't need any further introduction...
