A 3-D Smurfs for 2010 by Columbia Pictures
The Belgian cartoonist Peyo introduced Smurfs to the world in a series of comic strips and now according to ComingSoon.com a 3-D CG/live-action film based on The Smurfs will hit the theaters on 17 December 2010.

Columbia Pictures is behind the project and Colin Brady is going to helm the project based on J. David Stem and David N. Weiss screenplay.
