A tie and a victory for Dino over Robots! Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs opened on Wednesday and after 5 days battle with Robots came out some how victorious.
Both films took in $42.5 million over the three-day weekend so it was a tie but over the five days since Wednesday prehistoric animals won the five-day with $67.5 million against Robots' $65 million.
When it comes to world market The third installment of Ice Age killed it and had the biggest worldwide opening ever for an animated film. With international sales around $148 million, the film did a total of $215.5 million worldwide and took the robots down for now.
But so far Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the highest-grossing film of the year, with a domestic take of $293.5 million in its twelfth day of release. The film made a massive worldwide sales of $591 million so there is no reason to feel defeated!
