All that "Will he or won't he?" hype finally had a payoff yesterday, when Mickey Rourke climbed into the ring against Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 25 in Houston. Despite telling reporters, "My agents said it would be detrimental to my career" and "I'm doing 'Iron Man 2' now, and the insurance company said under no circumstances could I get into the ring," before the pay-per-view event, Rourke went ahead and did it anyway...
The Wrestler star had a ringside seat at the WWE anniversary event when wrestling legends Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper took on Jericho. After Jericho "won" the 3-on-1 match, he started calling out Rourke - who finally relented and (slooowly) climbed into the ring. A few jabs and a phantom left hook later, Jericho was on the mat and the final chapter on Rourke's wrestling days was finished.
