It looks like rap star 50 Cent AKA Curtis Jackson, has joined the cast in Joel Schumachers new film called Twelve. Also joining the cast is pretty boy Chase Crawford, McCully Culkins younger brother Rory Culkin, Ellen Barkin, And Keifer Sutherland, the star of the Television hit show 24.
The film is based on a novel by Nick McDonell about drug addiction and violence among Manhattans young teenagers. The movie follows a seventeen year old high school dropout turned drug dealer who complicates things when his cousin is brutally murdered and his best friend is accused of doing it. Radar Pictures verified that the film will begin production on April 20th, and will be set to release in the winter of 2010.
There is no official word on who is playing what role, but I am willing to bet Rory Culkin plays the high school drop out turned drug dealer, and Keifer Sutherland will probably play his dad. More than likely 50 Cent will play someone involved in murders or drugs, given his characteristic real life role.
Do you think 50 Cent should stay in rap, or quit everything all together?
